Karen Davis
Owner and Director
As the Owner and Director of Meadows Kids Academy, I bring 22 plus years of experience in nurturing and educating children from newborn to five years old. A native of Las Vegas, I have dedicated my career to providing a warm, home-like environment where young children feel safe, loved, and supported in their early learning journey.​
Before opening Meadows Kids Academy, I operated an in-home preschool and childcare facility, walking alongside many families and building strong community connections. Being able to expand my reach and assist even more children and families is a dream come true. My passion is to create a space where children develop a strong foundation socially, emotionally, and academically during their most impressionable years.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. I have been married to my best friend for 30 years, and we have two wonderful children who have blessed us with three beautiful grandchildren one of my greatest joys in life. When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors in the sunshine, near the water, at the beach, and visiting Disneyland every chance I get.
I am honored to lead Meadows Kids Academy and to partner with families in fostering a love of learning, a sense of belonging, and a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Dustin Davis
Administrative Assistant and Lead Teacher
Dustin Davis serves as both Administrative Assistant and Teacher at Meadows Kids Academy and holds an Associate’s degree in Elementary Education. He is passionate about early childhood education and believes children learn best through play, curiosity, and hands-on experiences that build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Dustin values strong relationships with both children and families and strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment where every child feels safe, understood, and encouraged to explore. He is grateful to work alongside a dedicated team and to support the growth and development of each child at Meadows Kids Academy.
Destiny Nielson
Pre-K Teacher
Mrs. Nielson is the Pre-K teacher at Meadows Kids Academy and brings over eight years of experience working with children in both early childhood settings and elementary education. She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in education and plans to pursue a master’s in curriculum development. As a mom of two young children, she deeply understands the importance of the early years in shaping growth and learning. Creative and hands-on in her teaching approach, she loves incorporating arts, crafts, and meaningful play into the classroom and was inspired by growing up around her mother’s in-home childcare program, which shaped her passion for creating joyful learning experiences that spark curiosity and support every child’s development.
Haley Pettit
Office Manager
Haley Pettit brings over 10 years of experience in education along with a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies. She works behind the scenes supporting daily school operations while thoughtfully designing literacy-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that nurtures the whole child socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically. Haley is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. As a proud mom, she brings both professional experience and personal heart to her work and feels grateful to support staff, partner with families, and help create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and inspired to grow.
